I was brought up in Beirut, capital city of the Lebanon, when that beautiful place was known as the Paris of the Middle East.

It was a glamorous life: dancing at the embassy balls, (my partners handsome army officers or visiting dignitaries, my gowns truly gorgeous), gambling the night away at the casino, lounging in a bikini on the warm beaches of the Mediterranean, at times escaping the heat in the mountains. But war came to my unhappy country, and I left.

I came to Canada. I am very glad I did. This vast and beautiful country has been good to me. I like to feel - and I really believe - that in bringing lovely things from the Middle East to my new country I am giving something in return.

I have personally chosen all the offerings in my catalogue. They are imported from the Middle East and will impart a unique cachet to your life, a nostalgia for an ancient time of romantic legends.

Whether your choice is a stately robe
or a diaphanous, swirling skirt, you
will discover as you wear it that you
too have a part in the splendour
that was Egypt.

My own experience as a teacher of Middle Eastern dance for many years
has guided my choices of costumes and accessories. They will complement your own particular contribution to the Art of dance.
